I BREATHE
I BREATHE
I
breathe air that I am not able to see, feel or taste. My senses confused, mind
amused but no real explanation obtained.
I breathe air, but to my intellect, I
am not able to explain. I think it is this, or maybe a piece of that. Not sure,
what it is, but without it, I am out cold, lifeless, slain and death continue
on my tracks.
I need to take a breath but I am afraid of what it will mean. I
am afraid to inhale, hold it in so it can overtake my inner person and
infiltrate my soul.
I need to breathe, I need to live, but do not
know-how. Is this air real or a figment of my imagination? What am I doing?
What will people think if I breathe? It looks so natural on others, but for me,
it is hard to breathe. I take shallow breaths, enough to sustain this existence
but never truly living. I need to breathe.
No longer holding my breath, I will breathe.
It is time to take the biggest and deepest breath. To let it swell on my inside to its warmth
covers my outer man. Aaaah!!!
I
can breathe in the goodness of what is, I can breathe in the warmth of what is
to be, and I can breathe in the hopes and dreams of what is and accept what I
will become. I can breathe free, pure and honest. I can breathe.
I breathe deep, so deep that my fears become
none. I breathe full breaths into my dreams and my dream breathes life into me.
I am free to live, I am free to soar, and I am free to risk because I allow
myself to breathe.
